Hello all!
I have decided to start a blog to follow along on the journey of a wife and mom, who also happens to be a USAPL competitive powerlifter.
In the time to come, I will be logging my weight training sessions, as well as my current battle with being overweight.
I hope that all who follow me can give me encouragement and advice, and I will be glad to help you as well.
This past Sunday (7/10/11), I weighed in at a staggering 232.5 pounds. At 5 foot 4 inches tall, that's pretty big. I am currently a Weight Watchers Points Plus member thanks to my Mom who paid for me to join. I need to take it a lot more seriously if I'm going to lose this weight.
I currently train with weights 3 times a week, and I intend to start adding conditioning 2-3 times a week also. I might begin with some brisk walking sessions, however it is too hot to do it outside right now. Here is my latest workout...
Monday - 7/11/11, Deadlift Day
Warm-up: Stiff-legged deadlifts/bodyweight squat combo
Bar/6+squat/6, 95/5+squat/5, 115/3+squat/5
Deadlift
135/3, 155/3, 170/1, 185/3x5
Leg Press
180/10, 270/10, 360/8x3
